About Mermaid's Tears Jewellery

My name is Gabs, I hand make each of the pieces sold at Mermaid's Tears Jewellery. 'Mermaid's Tears' is a beautiful name for sea glass, as it often is found smoothed and rounded by the tumbling of the sea. Every single piece of glass and ceramic is handpicked by myself on the beaches of North Devon. I then take them home,and wash them, hand create each piece then spray seal each piece all over to protect it.

I started creating these pieces after seeing a huge quantity of sea glass on my local beaches and seeing the beauty in it. I am passionate about the environment and sustainability, and I therefore use repurposed copper wiring so each element of the pendant is completely sustainably made.
